You can have multiple save games, and you can load a previous game if you die.

You also remember what you did during the time you spent but then just reloaded.

Things would get really complicated if multiple people had this power.

I'd probably end up saving at a really bad time and have to load up a previous save made literally years ago.

You have lots of save slots, say 1000, so there is no reason not to save all the time (except that it might be hard to find the save you want).
