This is no contest. Regardless of which series you like better Star Trek is just a lot more comfortable. In Star trek you have teleporters, replicators, holodecks, and large and luxurious ships with carpet.

Plus technological and social development is robust and ongoing in the Star Trek universe, whereas the Star Wars setting has been stagnant for thousands of years.

The Galactic Empire contains twelve million worlds inhabited by intelligent beings, with many tens of trillions of people in total (Coruscant alone probably accounts for trillions). The Jedi appeared to number in the thousands at best. I don't think those are very good odds.
