Finding out that saquatch do exist would be a huge boon for science. Such close relatives might give us great insights into medicine.

The loch ness monster might be cool since we could find out about dinosaurs, but it wouldn't be as useful.

Actually, I think this pairing makes sense. On the one hand you could find out that the Loch Ness monster is real but you'll have to prove it to everyone else to get them to believe you, on the other hand everyone finds out that it exists simultaneously. I can see plusses and minuses to each side of this.
